Civic Video, with over 300 stores nationally, is a wholly Australian owned and operated company, and Civic Video Yallambie is a franchise that is owned and operated by two local residents.
Civic Video Yallambie has a comprehensive range of new and weekly videos as well as the widest range of DVDs in the area.
Located on the corner of Lower Plenty Road and Crew Street in Yallambie (right behind the McDonalds Restaurant), Civic Video is conveniently located and offers ample off street parking for your convenience.
Co-owners Judy and Elaine take pride in the service the store offers to their customers. Many of the customers are on a first name basis with the staff, and their service extends to helping some of their elderly customers with their choice and carrying the movies back to their car or taxi. Judy says, "We really concentrate on service".
The store offers many other services and provides customers with the opportunity to take home any of the old movie posters for the price of a gold coin, which is donated to charity. There is even a play area for children so you can browse in peace.
Membership is available to all local residents. To join you'll need a couple of pieces of Identification (e.g. driver's license & credit card) and something to show that you're a local resident (a rates notice for example). Membership is also available to the servicemen and women of the Simpson Army Barracks.
